Though much of the Greater Kudu's lowland habitat in Kenya is now settled and under cultivation, Lake Bogoria is a refuge where herds may be seen early in the morning and late in the afternoon. This female is browsing at the southern end of the lake, where a small freshwater stream provides a bathing and watering spot for flamingos.
