The Greater Kudu, Tragelaphus strepsiceros, gather in numbers at secluded sites around Lake Bogoria early in the morning. Later in the day, lone males and small groups sometimes can be seen making their way quietly along the edge of the lake. The male Kudu has the longest horns of any antelope; this beautiful mature male sports three turns in his spiralling headgear.
