The Gerenuk, Litocranius walleri, is well adapted to feeding on thorny shrubs and trees like this acacia. An elegant antelope found in the Somali-Masai Arid Zone, the Gerenuk can browse as high as two meters by standing on its hindlegs, as the male in this picture is doing.
