The Klipspringer, Oreotragus oreotragus, is at home on high cliffs and outcroppings such as this in Tsavo. It also goes easily on the jagged broken surface of recent lava, also seen in Tsavo. A small antelope with a stocky build, it forages on a wide variety of leaves, shoots, berries, even grasses, and usually obtains all the water it needs from its food.
